Homaggio a Villa Lobos
The 16th Hermoupolis Guitar Festival is dedicated to the life and work of the famous Brazilian Composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (March 5, 1887 - November 17, 1959).
50 years from his death.

He wrote numerous works for orchestra, vocal and instrument ensemble, as well solo instruments.
Typical for his work is the incorporation of Brazilian folk music, but he also used style elements from impressionism, expressionism, baroque, and classicism.
Villa-Lobos is the best known classical composer of South America.
